M. Izquierdo


Marta Izquierdo was graduated in Chemical Engineering in the Universitat de Val猫ncia. She finished her Master studies in Environmental Engineering in 2008 at the Universitat de Val猫ncia and the Universidad Polit茅cnica de Valencia.

Her research experience was initiated in 2005 and since then she has been actively working in the research group GI2AM (Grupo de Investigaci贸n en Ingenier铆a AMbiental) in the Department of Chemical聽Engineering of the Universitat de Val猫ncia. Her PhD research work was performed on heavy metal wastewater treatment by biosorption, including both experimental work and process modeling in fixed-bed column. She obtained her Ph.D. in Chemical, Environmental and Processes Engineering at the University of Valencia (Spain).

She developed a postdoctoral research in 2011聽in the Institute for Water Education (UNESCO-IHE) in the research group headed by Prof. Piet lens.

In 2012, Marta Izquierdo became an Assistant Professor at the Chemical Engineering Department of the University of Valencia, at which she is actively developing her teaching and research activities.
